GREEK DOOR This is one of my favourite subjects.  I originally did it as a pencil drawing as I sat on a shady step in the deserted village of Mythrios in Crete over 20 years ago. WEALD VIEW On page 2 of my work for sale is a picture called 'Edge of the Woods' if I stand with my back to the woods this is the view I can see, rolling off into the distance, towards Battle. TO THE SEA - RYE HARBOUR Looking out to sea with the tide low, the light reflects off the shallow water and casts ribbons of sunlight and shadow through what remains of the sea-beaten groins. PLOUGHED FIELD Another subject I return to. Initially a rather bleak image but the foreground reveals the warm earthy colours of the Wealden clay in contrast to the winter tree silhouettes. DAPPLED LANE The sunlight through the fresh green leaves play over a track that first made its way through the wood hundreds of years ago. This image can be found throughout Britain and although very like the narrow lanes close to my home this is in Devon where I spent the summer.
