A spontaneous creative project looking at some playful characters from the bird world, suitable for all abilities. Drawing, preparing a textured surface, painting and movement - I'll take you through this joyful project.
 
The Materials I used for the Party Birds Project:
An A3 size canvas but anything goes with this project - bigger or smaller would all work and it doesn’t need to be canvas - mount card or even plywood or packaging cardboard can be used to paint on.
White, Cyan Blue, Yellow Ochre, Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Red.
Burnt Umber, Ultramarine Blue, these last 2 colours make a great mixed black.
These are the colours I used but this project lends itself to what ever colours you would like to use.
All those cheap acrylics you were given at Christmas can be used.
Acrylic texture, impasto gels or PVA glue and filler - for the surface texture.
