A simple, calm scene - I show you how to achieve that cool dappled light with washes and highlights. Suitable for all abilities. 
 
The Materials for Beehives Project:
I used an 20" x 18" canvas but bigger or smaller would all work and it doesn’t need to be canvas - mount card or plywood would work just as well.
White, Cyan Blue, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Yellow.
Burnt Umber, Ultramarine Blue, these last 2 colours make a great mixed black.
There is nothing wrong with using your own range of colours.
Brushes: I used 1/3" Flat, 1/4" Sword and a No2 Rigger or use the brushes that you are used to working with.   Piece of towelling rag.
