A blockbuster project full of information and demonstration. A lot to learn suitable for all abilities interested in mastering the portrait. I work throught he same project twice in different medium to show you how they differ and what result you can get.
Materials for Portrait in Oil or Acrylic
A4 or slightly bigger Mount Card or plywood surface.
Primed with at least 3 coats of acrylic paint ending up with slightly flesh coloured one.
Pencil 2B or watercolour pencil, Pencil sharpener
Rubber, RulerOil or Acrylic paints:
White, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Umber, Yellow Ochre, Burnt Sienna, Cadmium Red.
For oils - refined linseed oil, odourless thinners.
Brushes- a selection of Graduate synthetic for oil and acrylics.
I used 1/4” and 1/2” angled shaders
